Dr. Tracy Merino

Tracy Merino obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology (PsyD) at the Texas School of Professional Psychology and her bachelor’s degree (BA) in psychology at the University of Houston. She developed her skills in assessing and treating children, adolescents, and adults through her practicum placements (Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center and Timberlawn Psychiatric Hospital-Trauma Unit) and her pre-doctoral internship (DFW Psychological and Consultation Services) during her graduate training.

Dr. Merino has worked with a variety of clients in a wide range of mental health services, gaining experience in working with mood disorders, personality disorders, behavioral problems, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Merino is trained in a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Play Therapy, family systems therapy, and Person-Centered Psychotherapy. Her clinical interests include developmental disorders, mood disorders, behavioral issues, relationship issues, and multicultural psychology. She is fluent in Vietnamese.
